Service Trip to Cuba in November, February

One World Running La Farola run in Cuba

One World Running has spots open for two upcoming service trips to Cuba: Nov. 13-20 Cuba Trail Running Trip,  which includes trail running and optional opportunity to race in the Havana Marathon. And,

Feb. 10-18, 2018. Explore remote trails, historic towns and support the running community by helping out at the La Farola running race.

The trip is centered around volunteering at the 8th annual La Farola Run, in Baracoa originally organized to help celebrate the 500th anniversary of the city in 2011. One World Running will distribute shoes, t-shirts, bib numbers and awards to roughly 200 of the best Cuban runners, who come from all over the country to compete over the hilly 34 kilometer course along “La Farola”.

Volunteers will also get a chance to explore the historic city of Baracoa, as well as Santiago de Cuba, where Teddy Roosevelt led the Rough Riders up San Juan Hill in this decisive battle of the Spanish–American War.

    1. Hi, Donald: the distribution went well. You are welcome on November or Feb. 2018 Cuba trips, or to Sioux reservation or Haiti. Michael
