Boulder Trail Runner delivers shoes to clinic at 11,00ft

Boulder Trail Runner Tom Matserson, a former CU Physics Professor, visited Nepal last year right in the middle of the devastating earthquake that shook the high altitude mountain towns. He was there delivering shoes from One World Running to the remote clinic/hospital in Khunde near Namche Bazaar at 11,000 feet. The trek  took three days on foot, with no roads. The services there at the clinic are free to all Sherpa people. The shoes/clothing will be given to the Sherpas by the clinic personnel as needed. Size preferences are “smaller” as the folks there are smaller than most Americans.

Tom leaves again this week with more shoes/medical supplies.
